Materials related Aizu Bange town.
I will describe my own consideration after I interviewed and investigated
the article of "Come on !" Aizu Bange town.
I think that there is a part which made a leap in the interpretation of
the history and the cultural heritage of the Aizu Bange town
because it added the consideration of the field investigation and the library
material, the investigation report, and the interview

Aterui’s rebellion (The rebellion of the Yezo)
When we talk about the history of Aizu and the Tohoku region. We cannot
forget the existence of the northem indigenous Ainu tribe.
The Ainu people in Nara and Heian period broadly settled down from the
present Hokkaido to the southern part of Fukushima
prefecture, and lived a peaceful life with farming and hunting as food
for life.Because they formed their own culture of the northern
system, the Rituryo system of the Heian government was not consent to be
able to understand.
Therefore, from the central government means the land of farthest "Mutsu
", and "the country of the not allegiance people" which
means "the person who does not obey the intention of the Heian government"
and "Ezo (Emishi or Ezo)".At the same time with Heian
capital relocation the Emperor Kanmu is edict the Ezo subdue to advancethe governing regional expansion policy. Enryaku 8 year
(789 year) Ki-no-kosami was sent to the Ezo subdue as an Eastern conquest general, but is repulsed by the Ezo military leader
"Tamonokimi Aterui". In the "Shoku-Nihon-shoki", this battle is carried out in the Subuse of the Kitakami river(Sakuragawa Shiushi

Inrecent years, the Memorial Monument of Aterui and Mole was erected in Kyoto Kiyomizu-dera temple precincts.
Aterui (Unknown year of birth~Enryaku 21 year of August 13. Lunar calendar
of Japan 802 year of September 17), he is understood
to say the military leader of Ainu in the early Heian period, but have
not been able to tell the details of what kind of person.
The official article appears in two times, one of which is the detailed
combat report of the Ki-no-kosami General of East conquest, the
"Shoku-Nihon-ki", and the other is "Nihon-ryaku-ki"
with a description of the surrender of Aterui. In "Nihon-ryaku-ki", the article at

The fool San(3)-ri of Bange(Bange-no-baka-san-ri)
The word "The Fool San-ri of Bange" is in the Aizu region. 1-ri(Ichi-ri) is about 4km.
What is generally conveyed is that the distance to the major cities of
Aizu, such as Wakamatsu city, Kitakata city, Takada town, and
Yanaizu town, is located in San-ri (12 km), so even if asked the distance
it has been told that "San-ri" is the only thing that should
be
answered. However, why is "fool" with extra words? The thing
that is generally conveyed is Wakamatsu, Bange, since the distance to
the major cities of Aizu such as Kitakata, Takada, and Yanaizu are all
located in San-ri (12 km), it has been said from even if asked
the distance "San-ri" it had been told from the answer. However,
why is "Fool" with extra words. The free sales day was set up at the
time of the town dividing of Kanei 2 year (1625 year).
The free sales day is the day when everyone can sell and purchase for agricultural
products and processed goods freely. It is the same
system as the easy Rakuichi-Rakuza that Nobunaga Oda enacted. At this time,

sales in all directions San-ri " centering on Bange was determined.
However, Kanei 16 year(1639 year) a lot of merchant were affected
by the fire in Bange village, and the merchant and the farmer etc. became
exhausted, and the free sales was not able to be set up.
After a while, residents of neighboring settlements began to dots the free
sale. The merchants and residents of Bange develops the
sense of crisis that could lose commercial rights, it appeal to the magistrate
of the Lord Kato Akinari to shield the law writing of
Kanei 2 year(1625 year). Mr. Kato's magistrate is "justifiable." The appeal of the Merchant
of the Bange is heard, and "It is not
market to set up the city in the neighboring village". It is prohibited. As a result, residents of neighboring settlements will
not be able
to build the city, "said the idiot! The truth and origin of the etymology

Kato Akinari is a warlord who renovated in present form Turu-ga-jo castle
that Ujisato Gamo built. It is the eldest son Akinari of
Yoshiaki Kato who was the most brave of the vassal of Hideyoshi Toyotomi
"Seven Spear of Shizugadake", but the whole house
uproar was criticized by the Shogunate, Kanei 20 year (1643 year) from
Aizu 400,000-goku to the Iwami country Yoshinaga clan (Ota
